On July 16, 2019, the SF Bay Internet Society Chapter and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) held an ICANN 65 Recap webinar.

Topics discussed included the effect of the General Data Protection Ruling (GDPR) on the names and numbers community, gTLDs, gTLD auctions process, news from the Government Advisory Committee (GAC), ways to participate in ICANN and the work of the ICANN Board Nominating Committee (NomCom).
